4 people sleeping arr. in balcony cabin - Ruby or Star

Does anyone have experience with the sleeping arrangements for 4 people in a cabin on either Ruby or Star Princess? We are looking at summer cruises in the Med with our two kids and trying to figure things out

That is horrible! My sons are 18 and 19 so We are able to get them a room right next door or even across the hall for an interior room.. Did this first time because it was less expensive. This time we have tow windo rooms.

Done it a few times, it can be managed as Toto said but you will need to be very organized.

 

If you book and balcony cabin it wont seem so crowded

I've seen it set up, wouldn't be my first choice. At a minimum, I would consider a Mini suite if available for the extra maneuvering space (and sleeping space, since a smaller one can use the couch).

I always forget who to give credit to on CC for this picture I found on Webshots (hopefully they will chime in here), but this is the set up in a mini suite for the 3rd and 4th passengers. I agree, much more space for 4.

For 2 adult children, I'd get them the cheapest cabin I could....they don't care! And something nicer for me. And until they can pay their way, cheap is the way to go!

That's what I do. I usually book my daughter in an inside but for our upcoming cruise, she's in a fully obstructed view. There was almost no difference between the inside and obstructed. There's usually little difference in cost between 3rd and 4th passenger rates and an inside across the hall or nearby. Even if it's a little more, it's worth the privacy, extra storage and 2nd bathroom.
