rlthomas7 Posted December 31, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2010 How much do people freak if they see a swim diaper in the pool? I'm asking because our 3-year old son is newly potty trained and, while I think he'll be fine using the pool, I'd like to keep a swim diaper on him as an extra precaution, as I'd do in our own pool! Will people make comments if they see it, or will they assume that, because he's older, he's probably potty trained and it's just an insurance policy for a newly trained kid who still might have an accident? sunquest76 Posted December 31, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2010 I am keeping my newly trained toddler out of the pool. If I think there MIGHT be an accident - I want to be responsible and not risk it. How horrible to be the one that caused the pool to be shut down? But, from the sounds of things, no one will actually say anything to you or your son.

This is a moot point. You cannot take a child into a pool wearing a swim diaper. Do a search; there are dozens of threads on this forum discussing this. DukeFamily Posted December 31, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2010 If he needs a swim diaper, even for a maybe oops, keep him OUT of the pool. No. Swim. Diapers. Period.
patseacruiser Posted December 31, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 31, 2010 People freak out. Either make sure he's potty trained or if you think he might have an accident take the blow up pool with you. It's a health issue - it's not because people don't like kids. cb at sea Posted December 31, 2010 #6 Share Posted December 31, 2010 You will probably be asked to remove him from the pool....same for incontenent adults....it IS a health issue!
