Room Is Below Lido Deck

The decks are pretty well insulated, so it shouldn't be too big of a problem. Experienced travelers always carry earplugs. They're a cheap way to ensure a good night's sleep, and the reality is, that you can experience noise anywhere on a ship. You can never count on location alone to ensure quiet, so bring your own insurance :) Have a fantastic cruise!

Well the good news is you are in the aft and not under the main pool which is the very worst place to be people claim due to dragging lounge chairs for hours when they swab the wooden deck.

You are back by the bar in the aft... look at the deck plans and you can see there does seem to be wooden planks above you, but it doesnt look horrible.

We were in 8330 on the Destiny last year so not far from where your room will be. I wouldn't worry too much about any noise from above. I actually don't recall it being an issue at all - no deck chairs scraping, no noisy parties (and we know there were a few when we ventured upstairs a few evenings).

Enjoy your cruise!

We've had deck 8 balconies three times, all on Carnival Victory (very similar to Destiny). We were very pleased with all three cabins. On one cruise we did have some noise from deck chairs being set out in the early morning, but nothing that we couldn't live with. We liked it better than being on deck 6 with lounges and the casino below us.
