She's setting on the far right dock slip, folks are going into the large building with the blue trim... We will be coming from the airport in a cab, just wandering where they take your large luggage bags... Here's the link... http://live6.truelook.com/face/newface.jsp?func=live&name=/ecodb/1amnorth/camera1&pan=-92.875946&tilt=-14.684048&panfov=7.0940065&tiltfov=5.5293756&overlay=default&skin=Nov2004SOSD&useapplet=true&time=1294601579595&width=640&height=480&quality=65&catalogname=catalog&imagemap.x=-486&imagemap.y=-364&imagemap.w=1612&imagemap.h=1209

We were on the Spirit out of San Diego in December. The new terminal was finished, but not yet in use? We have boarded many ships at the old terminal. You just drive on in (cab or your own car, etc.) and they will direct you. Plenty of people around to do so. Just be careful if there is more than one ship in port. Once, a while back, they seemed to have a lot of trouble directing us to the correct place for our sailing! That was only once out of many times with no issues. Have a great cruise! We love the Spirit. Going back next month for the 9 day again!:D

About 1 PM their time & the line is SHORT.... Our flight gets in at 11:30 AM so by the time we get our luggage, catch a cab & get to the terminal it should be around 12:30 or so... Think we will just take our time so our check in will be smooth & fast...

Make sure to say to the porters Carnival Spirit and give them a small tip.

They are hired by a private company.

We always put on a 2nd luggage tag with the Ship, sail date, cabin & of course our names & cell number... I don't care for the printable tags although I do add clear tape to make them stronger... We also put the same info inside each piece of luggage...

Where is the "new" ship terminal relative to the old one in San Diego?

It is right next to the old terminal. It is on the left.

But so far I have yet to see the Carnival Spirit use it.

I have only seen Holland America and Seabourn use it.

San Diego is the fastest and easiest port.....if there is a line when you arrive you will be in the terminal in no time.......
