jarz85 Posted January 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2011 http://www.cruisecritic.com/slideshows/?ID=228&photo=5&StartRow=1 According to this the harvest spring rolls are over 1200 calories.. How many do you get in a serve because surely one can't be that bad! That page says they are worse than two McD's quarter pounders...
dolphin lady Posted January 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2011 I could not believe there were 1200 calories in harvest spring rolls so I googled calories in harvest spring rolls and it came up with this. There are 350 calories in the P. F. Chang's Harvest Spring Rolls (4 Rolls).
mailbroad Posted January 10, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2011 Impossible that there are that many calories... unless you get a side of the oil they were fried in!
mypleasure Posted January 10, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2011 The number of grams of carbohydrate and fat are both very high. In fact the carbs are 50% over the amount of carb I aim for each day. If you are worried about calories then you need to worry about carbs not fat. newmexicoNita Posted January 10, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2011 I am not a diatician but I would question the numbers. No way could this be true I don't think. Nita
Rare mking8288 Posted January 10, 2011 #6 Share Posted January 10, 2011 Based on those NCL serving size/portion, I'm pretty sure one has to consume at least 4 or more "servings" of these tiny roll, cut into half, to get 1,200 calories - the stuffing inside are mostly vegetable & little meal, if any. :D And, only if the fried skins are soaked in animal oil/fat .... Possibly a typo ?? or misprint ??? Besides, those sodium #'s are unreal - and if the spring rolls are bad, those potstickers have to be worse in unhealthy #'s (and they aren't, so I'm puzzled) Plus, 5500+ grams of sodium for the chicken wrap shown in the picture - one might as well eat salt by itself to hit those absurd #'s  I seriously doubt that the Executive Chef & Food Services Manager in charge higher up on NCL would allow these kinds of specialty food to be served to pax on a routine basis, without triggering all sorts of health issues for folks with pre-existing & chronic medical conditions.
