Those who have been..approximately how long did it take for those on the shore Excursions to disembark, re-position the ship and then for those on private tours to get off and get up the cable cars to the top to meet your guide? Thanks, Sherry

Difficult question to answer it depends on the ship. On small ships like Royal Princess, Oceania etc. it is all pretty seemless and fast as there are only 700 pax and 2 or 3 tenders take most of the early risers away. One the big ships it can take a lot longer.

I did notice in the past that the cable car doesn't always get going right away, I think that they wait for the crowds to queue up before they start it . . .

I would count on 1 1/2 hours. On our stop we got to Santorini at 10:15, off loaded the ship excursion folks, repositioned the ship and and off loaded the rest of us. We got to the top of the cable car just after noon. We could have cut a little time off if we had been more active in getting on the tender.
