Just back, so maybe next time we'll get conch from you.

The middle of the three "Beach bars" to the left of the pier had something they called conch fritters, but we didn't see much conch in 'em. Still were quite tasty, though.

Sorry Google is out of date. Jack's Shack stopped serving conch fritters about 2 years ago. We changed chefs to Leroy, a great Jamaican chef. His specialty is jerk chicken. Occasionally, he has some conch which he stews on the BBQ or serves as cracked conch. If you have your heart set on conch lets us know your arrival date and ship and we will try to have some fresh conch available for you.

Hi Janet, Would this offer still be available? We dont arrive until Sept 7 but would love some conch. I can confirm as we get closer to the date but just wanted to check and see if it can still be done.

Thanks!!

HI, My sister and I will be visiting gran turk on March 10 on the carnival liberty. We have decided to spend the day with you at Jack's shack instead of the touristy Margaritaville. I was happy to hear that there are lounge chairs and umbrellas available. Sister likes the sun and I need to hide in the shade so this is a perfect marriage. Looking forward to seeing you then

Mary

the 4 of us (2 couples) are big conch fritter fans and enjoy them every chance we get.

To get them in Grand Turk, go into Cockburn Town and go to the far end (north?) of the main drag and you'll see 4 or 5 brightly painted octagonal souvenir type stands. Directly across from there is a restaurant (no idea what the name was) that had what we thought were among the top 5 conch fritter offerings we've encountered. They go down even better with the cold Turk's Head beer they serve there as well. Think the fritters were 4 for a dollar.

Definitely worth a stop. We were there just 3 wks ago, so this info is current.

We stopped here last week and had conch fritters and beer at 9 AM. It was a wonderful way to start the day. They were the best conch fritters I've had since I was a child spending Christmases in the Keys. (We also had turtle soup then and key lime pies that you had to return the pie dish when you were done with the pie. That's how long ago it was.)

Awesome Conch Fritters, you really must get some!

There is also a place about halfway to Jacks shack that has conch fritters and conch bites along with free chairs and umbrellas. There is a menu board right along the beach. I think its called Village Local or something to that effect. Look for a rowboat on the beach with "local food" painted on the side. You can't miss it. You can tast the conch much more in the conch bites.

On our cruise 2 weeks ago, it was raining when we got to Grand Turk--not hard but nonetheless raining. We headed out anyway, thinking maybe it will clear up and I did want to go to Jack's. We got all the way there but still a huge grey rain cloud above. Seemed like we were in for hours of rain. So we started Walking back to the ship. About halfway there we ran into some folks we'd met at our pre-cruise hotel and stopped to talk to them for a while. During that time, the rain stopped:) We decided to hang out where we were which was at this Village place. So there is a least another option without having to take a taxi somewhere, assuming you can walk the beach some.

A&E are #5 in the colorful cabanas past the museum... Enid makes THE best conch fritters, lots of conch, good size, not padded out with too much batter and a slight spice to them! 3 for $1 too..... I am hooked!!

XRAY you probably wouldn't like it them, altho the fritters are breaded and seasoned and they are pretty mild. The conch bites that they have where I was near Jack's was basically breaded and fried large pieces od conch, which I thought tasted and had the texture similar to calamari
