Grand Cayman Royal Palms

Hi.

Just take a cab when you disembark the ship and you can stay for the day! Many folks don't arrive until after their morning excursions so it is not as crowded early on. It does get crowded, however you can always pick a chair/umbrella (for a fee) away from the main dining area. The food and drinks are great, the sand is like powder. Wear ALOT of sunscreen as you will be having such a great time you will fry if you don't re-apply often. An easy cab ride back to the ship (but don't forget to pickup some Tortuga rum cakes to bring back home!).

Enjoy-

Royal Palms is nice, but very expensive. Beer is $6-8 each. Frozen & Mixed Drinks are $8 and up. We had lunch & drinks there in November 2010. 4 Beers, 4 Mixed Drinks & 3 orders of Fish Taco's & 1 Hamburger were $140 US.

The pool, beach & facilities available are clean. In Grand Cayman double check if the prices listed are Cayman Dollars or US, and the difference is significant. Not crowded at all. Make sure you take your own beach towels. Taxi should be $8 US from the pier.
