Does anyone have recommendations for private guides for Alaska?

Dependant on how much money and time you have spend, as well as how much physical activity you're into, the possibilities are just endless.

Why not check out the Alaska board?:

A "search" by port of call, on that forum, will give you an overview of what is available.

Then, if a tour company or a specific guide piques your interest, look for reviews. or references on CC, TripAdvisor, or even just by going a Google or Bing search.

Hope this helped :D Have a great cruise!

Here are two of the companies I used...and would recommend:

Skagway:

Juneau:

In Ketchikan, we just got off the ship and went into the Ketchikan tour building next to the pier and booked something right there...but here's some info here:

In Icy Strait Point, we just booked a whale watching excursion through the ship. Everything in Icy Strait Point is controlled by the Hoonah Tlingit Tribe...

Of course, I am not sure where your itinerary is visiting...Those are the ports we did during our 2005 Celebrity cruisetour. All of our interior tours (Fairbanks, Denali, Talkeetna, Anchorage, Alyeska) were included on the cruisetour...

Good luck...
