Slot Pull: Questions on how to organize

Thank you so much for the great information which we will be sure to take advantage of. My next question would be whether or not it is posible to make contact with the Casino Director prior to the cruise, and if so, how one does that?

Again, thank you for the fast and excellent replies. Beth (jerbeth)

We recently participated in a slot pull on the Norwegian Star. There were 33 participants, each paying $20.00. The organizer did notify the casino and they picked the machine. We each had 5 pulls and were almost even. The group decided to go ahead and play - each of us had 3 pulls. Ended up each of us pulled 15 times at the max - $3.00 on a $1.00 machine, until we had no money left. If ever there was the possibility of a "rigged" machine we had it. There was ONE payout of $60.00, three of $30.00, a few $9.00, maybe 25 of $3.00 in $1485.00 worth of play. Unbelievably low pay out and the casino personnel who picked the machine said it was "a good machine with a better payout than the other $1.00 machine."

We kept playing until it we lost it all even though we had originally agreed to stop after the initial play. We had fun and it took quite a long time. No free drinks or other gifts. Diamond Princess at least had tee shirts and hats and showed up during our pull - not so on the Star.

If I ever am in charge of coordinating a slot pull on a future cruise I will NOT let the casino know until we arrive and will NOT let them pick the machine!!!

Hi Ann, if you are still monitoring this thread,

It would be great to get all your information for a Great Slot Pull

I will be trying to "Pull" it off for our cruise to Hawaii, and would like for everyone to have a blast.

Doing so means being organized, and it seems you have it down to a science :D

My e-mail is hhmiracle@centurytel.net

Thanks

I also have an Excel spread sheet that you can print in advance to track how much each person won for the group. If you will give me your email address, I will forward that spread sheet.

These are always great fun.

A long time has passed since this thread but if you are still out there I would love a copy of your spread sheet. steckler.susan@gmail.com. thanks!!!

Hi Ann,

I just read through this entire thread. You are the one in the know on these slot pulls, for sure! I will be a participant in my first slot pull on my upcoming transatlantic. I just might organize the next one and would really appreciate anything you have to offer in the way of helpful info.

Please send to steckler.susan@gmail.com. I posted a few messages ago but it looked confusing to me.

Thank-you so much in advance! Sue:)

What a fun idea! I wish I had thought about doing this. I just returned from a cruise on the Emerald Princess. I don't know if the system used on the Emerald is the same on the other ships but be aware of the following: I had to set up a pin number and use my cruise card (cabin key) for the slot machines. I could put cash in the machine or charge amounts to my cruise card. However, I couldn't get cash out of the machine. All cash wins were credited to the cruise card. I then had to go to the cashier to get the cash. So, be prepared that one person's cruise card might be needed.

Yes, on the Princess ships all the money stays on your card until you go to the cashier to cash it out. On the day of play, prior to starting the Slot Pull, I clear my card and then use it during the slot play and I have already set up my pin #, etc.

But you are so correct with your info. And yes, one erson's card is needed. Not sure how it works on the other ships as I am mainly a Princess person.

Will send right now to your email. Enjoy :D

Thanks Ann for your quick response. I am organizing the Meet & Greet for my next cruise and I'm hoping someone volunteers to organize the slot pull because I know they're a lot of fun, even if you don't win big:)

Eleanor and Sue,

you are both very welcome and I hope you do win big or at least your investment back. But the important thing is to have fun :D
