I will tell you we have had one Slot Pull on our current cruise and there were 48 people in it and each one of us got back $11 on our $15 investment. Everyone said it was worth way more than $4 worth of fun. The person who won the most money for the group ended up getting an additional $32. We are going to do another one on the way back from Hawaii also as everyone loved it.

Hi! I keep hoping someone with prior experience will set one up for our Jan cruise, but when you have time could you email the spreadsheet to me also? Hopefully I can just be a participant first & the organizer in the future, but I like to be prepared! Thank you in advance.... my email is 10pinkroses at att dot net...enjoy your cruise!

Thank you,

Lori

Janice,

I have tried 2 times to send this to you at the email you listed and it would not go through. Can you give me another email address or check to make sure the one you gave me is correct?

Thanks

Wanted to report that we did have a 2nd Slot Pull on the way back from Hawaii last week also. The 2nd time, we had 40 people participate and we each got $12 back on our $15 investment. Again it was worth the $3.00 fun that we all had. some people have some very creative ways of approaching the machine and hitting the button or pulling the handle.

All in all, everyone sure seemed to enjoy the 2 Slot pulls on our 14 day cruise.

Hello Ann,

Would you please be so kind as to forward your spread sheet as well as the directions if you have them saved as a document to me. I am thinking I may become ambitious and try to organize one for my upcoming curises. I am new to CC and to the whole roll call thing and think I might like to get my cherry broken again. LOL

I was on a cruise last year and watch a slot pull in action and thought how cool was that. The group had sooo much fun. The entire casino was routing them on.

My email addy is: allie-brandy@hotmail.com

Glad that you have decided to try a Slot Pull. It can be very easy to organize. I have sent the information to your email address. If you have questions, let me know.

I don't spend a lot of time in the casino, so I don't remember exactly how these machines work, but doesn't someone's card have to be in the machine during the slot pull? I'm assuming whoever organizes the pull would use their card, meaning they get the points?

We're doing one on our cruise next month. The organizer just had to postpone her cruise, so I'm trying to decide whether I want to take over. We've got a huge group!

Yes, on most ships now, someone does have to use their card in the machine. And usually it is the person who organizes the Slot Pull. and yes then they get the points.

Let me know if you do wantt the information that I have and I will send it to you.

That'd be awesome, Ann...thanks. My e-mail is my CC screen name @Yahoo.com.

I'd also be interested in hearing what you think about putting all of the money in the machine before the first pull vs. each person putting their own in at their turn. Most people seem to recommend the former; not sure why.

Thanks!

oops. . . . did not answer your other question. With many people and you do not know their faces, if people do not put in their money individually, how will you know who paid you in advance and who did not. Just my thought that it is easier to have each person put in their money at the beginning of their turn.

Got your e-mail...thanks!

Well, that was kind of my thought, but it's interesting how many people say to put all the money in at once. (I would imagine that it would be one more thing you'd have to add to the spreadsheet.) For me, part of the excitement is putting my money in the machine, so I think we'll do it that way (unless someone can convince me that there is some BIG advantage to doing it the other way)! :D

Agreed Jen. Someone tell me why the other way is better.

I am organising a slot pull on my next two cruises. I have never had a 'card' for the casino I do not know what they are for or how you get/use them. The first slot pull I am arranging is on the Diamond Princess do we need to get cards for this? I was thinking of collecting the money and getting the casino desk to change it into 100$ notes so we could put them into the machine quickly.

Am I doing this wrong? Please advise what I should really do as it is my first time and of course if I need a card I need to get it early on;);)

The card for the machines in the casino is your room card - like a plastic credit card. In order to get money out of the machine, you need to use your room card and establish an account with a PIN number in the casino. Do set this up in advance of the slot pull. I would suggest that you talk to a casino worker and ask them to explain it to you and help you set up your card and PIN.

After you read the email that I sent, if you still have questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help you.

I would not tell the casino manager you are doing a slot pull. Let's just say we got "caught" and he wanted to know how many people and what machine and when we told him, he scurried off and we lost! I don't know that they can do anything remotely but it seemed odd that he insisted on knowing which machine and then ran off.

Also I had my account set up and a zero balance on my card and we used it to play. Then I took my card to the cashier to get the small amount out. We had about 30 players. It was a lot of fun. We did a gift exchange that was a lot of fun as well.
