LovesCruising Posted January 16, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2011 I have done a search and cannot seem to locate the information I am looking for. Does anyone know the prices of the Cabanas? Over the water, Beach and is it Hillside? Thanks for your help!
FreshOffTheBoat Posted January 16, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2011 I remember hearing around 150 - 200 bucks for the day
maxs mom Posted January 16, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2011 The cabanas are $150 and $200.....depending on location. I'm pretty sure the ones on the water are $200. The ones up in the hills....I'm not sure. I don't think I would like one of those. They are all nice, though. We were going to get one on our last cruise, but they were all taken. Turned out just as well, though.....the Concierge still got us in to Barefoot Beach and we got all set up under a palapa and it was a great day. Leesbrug Land Posted January 16, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2011 What are the chances of a non suite passanger getting an cabana? We are sailing on the Oasis and would sure like to rent one. Do I go speak to the concierge in the Diamond lounge when I get on board. I'm concerned that with the number of Suite quests on board it will be close to impossible. Has anyone here had any luck? You will have better luck if you were Diamond + and had access to the Concierge Lounge.....they are offered first to suite guests...then D+ then D....so while there is a chance but you are down the line a bit. bluecookies Posted January 16, 2011 #6 Share Posted January 16, 2011 Since I've never been to Labadee, can someone provide a picture of these?
Hokiefan01 Posted January 16, 2011 #7 Share Posted January 16, 2011 I have these in my pictures, just the ones on the water. This was before they charged and had the extras like fans, coolers, and padded loungers but gives you the idea. http://picasaweb.google.com/cboehl11/CruiseOct0902?feat=directlink#5398950904868120930
LovesCruising Posted January 16, 2011 Author #8 Share Posted January 16, 2011 Thanks everyone - am I getting it right? Water would be $200 - Hill would be 175 - Beach (only 2 I see) $175 and Sand $150? Anyone know of 2 on the sand that might be close to each other? kd6183 Posted February 22, 2011 #10 Share Posted February 22, 2011 We were in a suite in November and rented a cabana for the day. We rented B1 and the cost was $175. It was the first one on the left on the beach but right at the water. The prices were S1-S9 $150, B1-B2 $175, H1-H5 $175 and W1-W4 $200. There were guests who were not in a suite who were able to rent a cabana as some were still available. This was on the Freedom of the Seas. All guests renting a cabana were asked to meet at a certain time in the concierge lounge. The concierge then escorted us off the ship down the pier to a waiting tram car that took us right to the beach. This was our first time there and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. Happy Sailing! :)
dixieva Posted February 22, 2011 #11 Share Posted February 22, 2011 Did the tram car pick you up on the pier? We're concerned about my older sister (in her 80's) being able to walk that long pier. We are in a suite and will be getting a cabana. Thanks.

It's a golf cart but it does not come down the pier for pick ups. You have to walk to the end of the pier and around the corner for the pick up. Maybe the concierge can arrange for the golf cart to pick her up at the gangway and take her down the pier? It certainly wouldn't hurt to ask. I do remember they insisted on driving us in one of the carts to the shopping area and waiting for us to take us back to the beach. We told them we were fine walking and they said that was what they were there for. Hope it works out for you and your sister. harry0 Posted February 22, 2011 #14 Share Posted February 22, 2011 Does the cabana include drinks or any other extra service? $150-$200 seems alot to pay to stay in for 6 or 7 hours.

We were on the FOS in January and rented W4 over the water and yes it costs $200. The only extra was 3 large bottles of water on ice which we did not finish and brought back to the ship to enjoy later in the cruise. We were suite guests and did not meet in the concierge lounge as mentioned above, just went over when we were ready later that morning. The staff has wheelchairs to take guests from the gangway to the end of the pier or further if needed. I would take advantage of this opportunity if mobility is an issue. Hope this helps. It includes a better buffet, bottles of water, very comfortable surroundings and awesome service. We felt like it was some of the best money we have spent while in a "port". I mean, we spent close to $90 bucks apiece for the zipline the last time we were on Labadee that lasted for a whole 45 seconds. $75 bucks apiece for the whole day was awesome....at least for us. We took one in the back and off to the side, very quite and very few people around. It was a nice break from the crowd ;)
negc Posted February 22, 2011 #17 Share Posted February 22, 2011 The cabana rentals also come with free float mats and snorkeling masks and fins which are available elsewhere on Labadee for a fee. For our family of six we found it well worth the additional cost and since I need to my exposure to the sun, it allowed us to spend the whole day on Labadee. Upgraded buffet with steak, lobster tails and shrimp and a cabana attendant to get your drinks were extra advantages.

Judith Thanks I will try to arrange a wheelchair for her to get her down the pier. It's not that she can't walk at all but she has a problem with long distances. lovetocruise2003 Posted February 22, 2011 #20 Share Posted February 22, 2011 Yes, a maximum of 6 people can be registered for the cabana. The 'renter' needs to be a grand suite guest, but after that, they can add on others. I believe they have to provide the names to the consierge but I am not certain. Enjoy:p

Thanks Ally We had friends traveling with us as well and we notified the concierge of their names and cabin number. He had their names on a list and when they arrived at the beach area they gave our name and cabin number and their names and cabin number and it was on a list that they were our guests. They were given the wristband for that area as well and they were then able to also enjoy the rafts, snorkel gear, extended buffet and the cabana along with us. Happy Sailing! :)

We have always had a Grand Suite with RC and have never had lobster tails for lunch on Labadee. I read a post where they were offered in the beginning. Just curious, when did you get lobster tails? CruiseLover15 Posted February 22, 2011 #25 Share Posted February 22, 2011 I got one of the hill cabanas while on the Oasis last September. I was not in a suite. We split the cost with our friends..... best money we spent the whole cruise. Would do it again in a second.
