Lovefuninthesun Posted January 19, 2011 #76 Share Posted January 19, 2011 From each port I get: a bottle of some special booze specific to that port/island, a Christmas ornament, a magnet From each ship I just get pictures/frames
bobmal99 Posted January 19, 2011 #77 Share Posted January 19, 2011 Great pictures. I can post my pictures in various threads. But how do you get them so big?? Mine always come up as thumbnails. What do you collect while on a Carnival cruise? Anything from the ships? Anything from the ports? I collect ships on a stick, the medallions, sail and sign cards, deck plan booklet, and the ship models. Ships on a Stick Total: 30 Carnival Medallions: 10 Deck Plans Books: 3- Glory, Valor, and Dream Royal Caribbean Medallions: 3 Sail and Sign Card/Seapass: 9 Limited to 6 pictures to post, the rest will be in replies to this post. pitterpattershoppe Posted January 24, 2011 #79 Share Posted January 24, 2011 Just magnets (from ships and ports of call) and key cards. We're not Carnival-exclusive. -pitterpattershoppe
SmogMonster Posted January 24, 2011 #80 Share Posted January 24, 2011 HOW do you get the ship on a stick?????? I have been wondering the same thing. Can you buy them? I used to collect casino chips from each ship but found out that the older ships dont have chips with their names on them. They just use a standard Carnival chip. I was told this on two different ships so i gave up on that collection.

99Cruiser Posted January 24, 2011 #83 Share Posted January 24, 2011 I love to collect $100 chips (since most ships do not have $500 chips) from the casino and return them at the end of the cruise for $100 bills. :D
Rare APDMOM Posted January 30, 2011 #84 Share Posted January 30, 2011 I love fridge magnets. You don't have to dust them... and you see them every day. Unfortunately, I did not start until our 4th cruise. Maybe I'll invade some roll calls to ask someone to do so for my first three ships :D So, instead of invading roll calls to find my magnets, I did the following... I uploaded the pictures I took of the cruise ships and custom made my own magnets through a company on the internet. Unfortunately I did not have a GREAT picture of Enchantment of the Seas, but the magnet still came out well. At $3.35 (shipping included) per magnet you can't beat the price & it is more personal since they are my photos :D Here they are...
Disconnections Posted January 30, 2011 Author #85 Share Posted January 30, 2011 Nice idea with the magnets. They came out well. You win the ships on a stick at activities such as trivia.

Are those models the same scale? Can you post a picture of your Dream class and Voyager class next to eachother? Thanks in advance! Sparky2 Posted March 23, 2015 #88 Share Posted March 23, 2015 What do you collect while on a Carnival cruise? Anything from the ships? Anything from the ports? I collect ships on a stick, the medallions, sail and sign cards, deck plan booklet, and the ship models. I just collect the free CCL pens, S & S cards, & deck plan booklet. That's all I'm interest in since I don't play trivia games, etc. Oh, I forgot, I also have all the ship pins we've received in a drawer. Since we're Platinum now and do B2B, we get a total of 4 ships pins.

jwalk03 Posted March 23, 2015 #90 Share Posted March 23, 2015 I collect shot glasses. Not just from cruises, but from anywhere that I visit. I particularly like to pick up Hard Rock Cafe Shot glasses from anyplace I visit that has a Hard Rock location. I do also hang on to my S&S cards as well. tdnosnhoj11 Posted March 23, 2015 #92 Share Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) -A shot glass from each ship and port -Christmas ornaments from the ports, but not usually from the ships -Fun Times -All trip documents and receipts (I put them in separate binders for each trip) -Deck plan cards -Sign and Sail cards -I'm not necessarily collecting them, but the Ships on a Stick and Medallions... as well as any signage that I may acquire (on our most recent cruise we carried our zone card all the way on to the ship and down the hallway before realizing we never handed it to anyone... oops?) You would think I have a room devoted to cruises... Edited March 23, 2015 by tdnosnhoj11
