txcruise75 Posted January 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2011 Just wondering if you could try different things by ordering more than one entree?

jackparts Posted January 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2011 You can order more than one entree, multiple of the same entree and the same goes for appetizers, soups, salads and deserts. It's a great way for you and the kids to try new things. Disney and the other cruiselines hope that while you are tasting, common sense will prevail on pure wasting of the food. However, the servers will never say anything about how much is ordered, they are under strict orders to make each and every meal a great experience. LetsGoToDisney Posted January 20, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2011 We were encouraged to "just try a side dish" of something we wantd to try but was unsure of.
dexddd Posted January 20, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2011 Your servers will generally get an idea of your interest the first night. After the first night of ordering the steak and a second (and eating both) they would just bring the second one on the subsequent nights if I ordered steak that night. Same goes for kids for things like milk - they ordered it first night and that is what they got every night without having to ask.

Zesty Italian Posted January 23, 2011 #9 Share Posted January 23, 2011 Made an offhand comment on choosing between desserts and the waitress said to order both. Every night after I'd order one and she'd smile and ask what else we wanted to try.:)
one80pastor Posted January 23, 2011 #10 Share Posted January 23, 2011 The waiters never even asked what we wanted for dessert. Our table of 8 was all family so they just brought out a couple of each to start us off with. Then if we needed something else, it would come out. Pretty amazing. This allowed us to taste everything. So great. We were always the last ones out. Cesar and Jenn are by far the best servers we have ever had.
ducklite Posted January 23, 2011 #11 Share Posted January 23, 2011 The one bad thing about ordering two entrees is that they won't just bring the entree, they bring an entire plate of food. My husband often wanted to have just the protein part of a second entree (think a side NY strip to go with a scallop entree), and they brought him a full plate of food--meat, starch, and veggies every time. What a waste. These days we often order different entrees and then split them between us so we can each try a couple of things without overeating or wasting food. We usually split a dessert, no sense eating 1800 calories of sugar and fat just because it's put in front of you.
