I was curious if anyone has experience with MGT in 2010? I'm interested in a tour they have that matches the Disney tour but much cheaper.....with a family of 6 it will make a huge difference. The website doesn't look very promising.....Let me know thoughts? Interested in Glacier, hachery and rainforest....

MGT runs a pretty bare bones company, which probably explains the website. But they've been in business for years, and appear to be well-liked by cruisers here and reliable. I don't see their buses broken down by the side of the road!

They run old school buses out to the glacier only, but I wonder if they use some of their old tour buses for the more extensive tour. I guess it depends on what you want. They're going to get you to those three sights and give you some canned commentary along the way. I assume Disney will have a brand new bus, probably the same canned commentary, but perhaps the guide will be wearing a Goofy hat?

The distance isn't great, so I don't think comfort matters, and once you're at the sights, there's no need for the tour guide. The hatchery and Glacier Gardens have their own tour guides and the glacier is a usual State Park, with rangers, informational panels and a visitors center.

You know, that might account for the price difference. Does the MGT tour include entry into the sights? The hatchery is $5, I think, the Glacier Gardens is about $30, the visitor's center another $7.

As noted above, MGT is a long time vendor, that runs excellent tours at great prices. My family has taken them a few times. Disney isn't going to be running the tours, a contractor is, so comparing the stops and time, is what may be the important comparism.
