Are all the Curacao Beaches Rocky?

We were there last week on Tuesday, 1/18/2010. If you take a taxi from Punda, it's about $4/pp. The beach is very popular, but we had no problem finding chairs and shade. The water was beautiful. It also has a rock reef if you want to snorkel. My fiance went snorkeling and saw 15+ type of fishes.

Busybears, thanks for your quick reply. Now I need to decide between Playa Mari Beach, Blue Bay or Mambo! What to do? LOL!

I don't know anything about Blue Bay. Between the other two: If someone wanted to spend part of the day touring them Mambo is closer and would fit in better. I've seen Mambo/Kontiki and had lunch there and it looks very nice but overall for a day of just beach, with a little snorkeling, I've been picking Porto Mari.

Just returned from our cruise on the Miracle. We took a cab to Jan Teal beach. The sand was very soft & clean. The entrance to the beach in the cove area was very rocky. There was another area to enter the water with a pool type ladder, at that spot there was hardly any rocks.

We had a nice day there.
