Early disembarkation from Oosterdam by carrying off own luggage?

I cannot guarantee that this is standard at the San Diego pier but my BIL/SIL did this in Seattle from the Oosterdam. I believe they could disembark at 7:30am with their luggage first.

I would call ship services and ask before you go however, just so you have no worries.

Does HAL offer earlier disembarkation from the Oosterdam in San Diego when one carriers off their own luggage?

Yes--you can get off in the first group of people. Having said that, Homeland Security has been known to delay disembarkation until they are satisfied that everyone has cleared immigration inspection.

Last April, on our Oosterdam cruise, it was between 10:30 and 11:00 before people could leave the ship. I have read on other threads that San Diego disembarkations are often delayed so I certainly would not book a flight before early afternoon. When you do get off the ship the airport is very close.
