Could you lovely helpful people please suggest some great places in Cozumel to get great mexican food? My boyfiend has never been to Mexico and I would like him to try REAL mexican food. Not just the stuff we get at home.

Start with these threads...I think there are links to other threads. Pay attention to recs that avoid the more obvious tourist oriented places in the Plaza and pier. See the list from eagle ray divers in Bruce r's posts, for example. Or the rec for local loncherias.
