dragline Posted January 31, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2011 Hi All - I will be in St. George's for a 1-day cruise ship stop on Saturday March 5 2011. It looks like I'm on my own, my group is off doing stuff I'm not interested in. I want to appease my handicapped foodie friend in Seattle and have at least one wonderful meal at an island restaurant. Budget shouldn't be a problem. It looks like Boots Cuisine comes highly recommended... Do they serve lunch? How hard is it to get to? Are cabs easily available? Any problem being a party of one? Reservation recommended? Any other restaurant recommended in or within a short distance of St. George's? - Thanks so much - Dragline
wwinfl91 Posted February 24, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2011 I have never been to Grenada although I will be there on a cruise in a couple of weeks so all I can do is give you a couple of links from the web you may already have. http://www.bootscuisine.com/ http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g147296-d1076132-Reviews-Boots_Cuisine-St_George_s_St_George_Grenada.html It's hours are listed as: Open Mondays through Saturdays 10:30 am to 2:30 pm and 6:30 pm to 10 pm, which would seem to indicate it was open for lunch. Hope one of these helps you decide. Have a great next cruise.
dragline Posted March 16, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted March 16, 2011 My pleasure. I hope it works out for youhave a great cruise  We had a fabulous lunch with Ruby and Boots! Real nice people, It was nice to get away from organized tours/excursions and meet real folks. Ruby picked us up at the cruise pier and brought us back. We went the back way, so we got to see a slice of the real Grenada. Watch out for the rum punch! I had one and...whoa! They make it with the local rum from the distillery around the corner. It is 138 proof!! Cheers! - Dragline
