tispwisp Posted February 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2011 Has anyone sailed in either of these two cabins? We are thinking about booking one of these cabins on a future cruise. We are not concerned about the motion or the long walk - in fact the more of each the better for us! But we were wondering if there was excessive spray from the bow that we should be concerned about or noise from the Pharaoh's Palace which is below the cabin. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!
cb at sea Posted February 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2011 You won't get "spray" on your balcony, unless it's VERY, VERY rough, in which case, you will NOT be out there!
tispwisp Posted February 9, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted February 9, 2011 Thanks for the response CB! We were toward the front on the Caribe deck on the Emerald Princess and went through a tropical depression. The sea was so rough that when I went and looked out the balcony (yes I did), the spray went up to the pool deck! I thought it was very cool! Most of the other passengers did not, however, 60% of the passengers were seasick according to our room attendant!!!:( DH was just wondering since this cabin is lower than what we normally get. C U Onboard Posted July 4, 2011 #5 Share Posted July 4, 2011 Herewith photograph of the balcony bubble front area Independence of the Seas stateroom 6514. No problems with spray because of the perspex type infill. No noise from below. IMHO - great choice ;)
