Bucket29 Posted February 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2011 We are cruising out of POM and curious if we get dropped off by a shuttle or cab around 10:30, what will happen if loading is delayed. Anything to do to kill time? What are people's expereince with on time/delayed boarding.
cb at sea Posted February 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2011 You just hang around, until they open the line for boarding...if you can wait about 30 mins. more, and arrive around 11, you probably won't have to wait. There is nothing in the port to do....
Cruzface Posted February 12, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2011 We usually try to get to the port btween 10:30 and 11:00 a.m.
Crewzer33 Posted February 12, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2011 We arrived about 9:30 at Port Everglades for Oasis, since our hotel was doing intermittent fire alarm testing. We could check our baggage right away, went inside the terminal, waited a short amount of time until the check in lanes opened, checked in and then sat in the very spacious lounge area (we were the first ones in our section). Boarded around 11:30. It was very pleasant, and RCCL people all are so friendly!
cruiseguy1016 Posted February 12, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2011 The doors to the terminal usually open around 11:00. You may have to wait a 1/2 hour or so. I'm sure you won't be the first ones there.
mikeblum Posted February 12, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2011 if you can plan to get to the terminal as close to 11am as possible...there really is nothing to do at the port of miami...it is off on it's own and to walk to bayside would be a very very healthy walk...going up and over a bridge...please REMEMBER the port of miami has a number of ships departing from variouscruise lines...we sail 5 weeks from today on the liberty of the sea's and expect the port to be buzzying anytime after 11am...LOTS OF ANXIOUS ENERGY BEFORE BOARDING...lot's of past customers and a bunch of the newbie's...getting to the pier between 10 and 10:30 usually means standing around a little longer and possibly standing outside...and depending the time of the yr could be a little on the warmish side...even at that time of the day...
