1st time cruiser ocean view guaratee cabin question

Recommended Posts

Hi Everybody,

We finally got our room assigned, we got deck 2 cabin 2116, how do I go about getting back in the pool to try to get a better room??? Is there any way to see which cabins have already been assigned to see if there is anything better available?

We're going on Majesty May 16th...

thanks for your help!

If you booked direct call RCI or if you booked through your agent call them and ask about being put back in the pool. Sometimes they will let you back in the pool - sometimes not. Call again if they say no. You can go to rccl.com and do a mock booking to see what minimum oceanview cabins are available to get an idea if there are a lot available.

What specifically is wrong with the room?

Nothing!!! Just wanted to see if we could maybe get somehting better...there also the chance that we could get something worse...What would you do??? Leave it as is???

It's mid ship so from what I read here, this is a good thing!

The chances of you getting a worse room are a lot higher than getting a better room. You got a mid ship cabin which most people love. If you go back in the pool, the odds are you will get a poorer cabin location. I would stick with what you have and be happy. I think you'd only go back-wards if you re-entered the pool.

We had an oceanview guarantee and called back several times to be put back in the pool. On our fourth try we were assigned a room that we were absolutely thrilled with and even more ecstatic with when we boarded.

I went on this cruise with my mom. The location was close to the casino and the restaurant for our dinner seating so it really worked well for us.

Good luck with your decision.
