dansu Posted February 16, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2011 Last night we booked our first Princess cruise on the Crown Princess Baja Deck BD midship/aft and hubby has just noticed that we are two maybe three cabins down and across from the laundry room. Could someone please tell me if we will hear the residual noise from the laundry machines in our cabin? Thanks
paul929207 Posted February 16, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2011 Should be no problem unless a brawl breaks out in the hall by your door.
gacruisergal Posted February 16, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2011 We have never had a problem and look at it this way, you don't have to carry laundry or things you want to iron for miles down a hallway. The room is closed in the evening so no one can use the machines during the nighttime. On our last cruise on the Diamond, we were one door away and heard no noise at all. Have a great cruise. We love Princess...................
dansu Posted February 16, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted February 16, 2011 Should be no problem unless a brawl breaks out in the hall by your door. ...so as long as PCL does not run out of dryer sheets which in turn creates a fabric softener war in the laundry room... MattOsprey Posted February 17, 2011 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2011 There was a thread about this a couple of weeks ago. The overriding point of view that there was little or no noise. And some now make a point of booking in that area. From the previous thread I would say you will have no worries. Matthew
Maraprince Posted February 17, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 17, 2011 Last night we booked our first Princess cruise on the Crown Princess Baja Deck BD midship/aft and hubby has just noticed that we are two maybe three cabins down and across from the laundry room. Could someone please tell me if we will hear the residual noise from the laundry machines in our cabin? Thanks We were directly across from the laundry room and heard nothing. Unless passengers stop right outside your door and chat, you will hear nothing. Besides, there is a door to the laundry room. If you feel that too much talking is going on, just ask if you may shut the door. The best part of being near the laundry room is the great fresh, clean fabric softener smell! :D MARAPRINCE
Nancyquilts Posted February 17, 2011 #9 Share Posted February 17, 2011 We were directly across one time, and I loved the convenience. I could go back to my cabin and wait for the end of the cycles. I do get testy when people leave their machines too long after they're finished, and have been known to remove the offending clothing.;)
BigJuan Posted February 18, 2011 #10 Share Posted February 18, 2011 :) You will finds you cabin location has many benefits, unless you qualify for free laundry and dry cleaning ;). The laundry is closed at night and does not open until 8 or 9 in the morning. Have a wonderful trip.
Putterdude Posted February 18, 2011 #11 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Not a chance, there are two doors with a vestibule in between. You can't even hear any noise in halls, there are only 2 pairs of washers and dryers per side.
