Loving all the pictures Mike! We loved the ship so much we sailed her two years in a row. The spirit class ship still remains my favorite as far as the layout goes. Thanks again for the time and effort you put into your reviews. And best wishes to Tracy as she leaves for her training.

Thanks for the pics. DH and I have a trip planned on the Pride for our 25th anniversary. I wasn't sure Carnival was the cruise line for a 25th anniversary but after looking at your pictures, I can't wait. The Pride doesn't look like a "college party ship" at all.

I was on the Carnival Pride in October of 2008 and they didn't have the Serenity area (wish they had). I am sailing on one of her sister ships the Spirit in April 2012 and I am hoping they add a Serenity area on that ship...keeping my fingers crossed.

Anyway, enjoying this thread and the pics...keep it coming...thanks

Cindy

Yaaa! Glad it's here. Best to your family Mike. Looking forward to reading the rest of your review

and seeing all the good looking people you met.;)

GREAT PIX !

To a prior poster who worried about the Pride being a "party ship", Like all entry level cruises, it depends when you go.

Leave during spring break period and it probably will be a party ship , otherwise not especially.

Mike, don't know if you remember me from your lst review, but my DH and both my DS'es are police officers and I know the sacrifices that they and the families make, so good wishes to all of you. I will be anxious to hear how you liked the Spirit class vs. the Destiny class. We ONLY cruise the Spirit class now, specifically the Miracle since she cruises from just 20 minutes away from us in Manhattan. Favorite would be the Spirit. We've never been on the Pride, but we sailed "neck and neck" with her in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean when we were on the Dream!:eek: Thanks again for sharing another cruise with us. Can't believe you are on page 6 and haven't even gotten to your cabin yet!!! ;) Cindy, I was hoping the Miracle would have the Serenity area added to it between our cruise last May and our next one this May. :(

.

Our cabins , 8C, balcony, # 5196, Deck 5 Midship, was scheduled to be ready at 2 p.m, we checked on it at 1:45 p.m and it was ready.

We met our room steward, Rodel from the Phillipines. He was great, kept our cooler filled with ice twice a day, very courteous, all week long it was good morning Mr. Mike, how are you Mrs. Tracy, did you have a nice day Mr. Mitchel, etc.

Our room was similar to the rooms we had on Valor and Freedom. Sofa, small fridge, ample closet space even for three people, it did however have the old style T.V with an interactive menu that showed your sail & sign bill, dinner menu each night, etc.

The white stuff your seeing on the floor is sea salt, they cleaned the balcony on the second or third day. Didn't matter to us because it was a couple of days before it was comfortable enough to sit outside.

Now I really want to cruise the Pride.. Beautiful ship! Should have done it while she was out here, but I learned my lesson.. Thats why I'm doing Splendor this summer, I have an idea she may be doing Alaska soon and maybe we will get a different ship.. Hopeful anyway. But dont want her to move before I can cruise her locally..

Well, I'm now checking this message board every day again to see your latest updates! I so loved your first review, and am enjoying this one just as much.

Good wishes and best of luck to Tracy in pursuit of her new career - and kudos to you and your children for coping with the long road ahead of not having her home with you. I hope the time goes by quickly for all of you.

Great review Mike!!!!

Love the pictures- we are sailing on the Pride on April 3 and can't wait.

This is our four year old's first cruise and she is absolutely loving the pictures from inside "the big boat" that she is going on:D

Yay, another Mike review! I really enjoyed your last one so much that I became a CC member so I could post. Your tales also convinced me to take my first cruise. Unfortunately, RL put that on hold for a while, a long while.

Best wishes to Tracy as she goes through training. How did such a petite woman give birth to such a big boy who obviously adores her?

Thank you so much thinkingWoman, your right Mitchel is a mommy's boy and he will miss her dearly. Everytime we talk about her going away he get teary eye.

Hey Mike:

Loved your B2B2B2B2 review and when I saw you were cruising the Pride, I started anticipating the Pride Review!!

I will be anxious to hear how you liked the Spirit class vs. the Destiny class. We ONLY cruise the Spirit class now, specifically the Miracle since she cruises from just 20 minutes away from us in Manhattan.

As Karen mentioned, I can't wait to hear what you think of the Spirit class! You mentioned it was Tracy's fave--what about you and Mitchell? We LOVE the Spirit class, especially the Miracle and there is nothing like cruising from NYC! We cruised the Pride in October and the weather was great. We were lucky enough to see a rocket launch when we were in Port Canaveral. We did have plans to go to the Kennedy Space Center but they were closed due to the rocket launch--awesome experience.

Wishing your family all the best as Tracey begins her new journey! I so admire Tracey for starting something brand new!

Karen from SJ

(Don't want to hijack but HI to Cruisin Karen from NJ from Karen from SJ. Say hey to Jim! We are cruising the week after you this time!)
