Boarding time for Equinox?

What is the boarding time for the Equinox? Someone on the Celebrity call-line said 2pm but then went on to say that everyone must be on board by 3:30pm. That means only an hour and a half to board so many people! Has anyone been able to get on the ship any earlier than that? What time would be the best to be picked up at our hotel to go to the port? Thank you!

We arrived at the pier last month shortly before 11 a.m. The whole boarding process took less than fifteen minutes. Sometimes there are delays, but we were fortunate.

It all depends on how soon the ship is cleared from the previous voyage.

Hi we are on the same cruise with you, usually take the hotel shuttle 10:30 or 11:00, either walk right in or short wait. Only exception is if ship not cleared from previous sailing. At least if you there early you would get a seat in terminal lounge much better than standing in line outside in the hot sun.

That seems to be the stock answer from Celebrity. We normally get to the ship between 11:00-11:30, get check in, and are on the ship shortly thereafter. Stateroom would be ready until around 1:00. You have time to explore the ship and have lunch. There are 3 venues for lunch, the buffet, Bistro on Five ($5 charge), or the Aqua Spa Cafe. Not sure, but maybe the burger/dog/chili nacho stand on Deck 14 might also be open. They have great cookies up there in the afternoon.

Enjoy your cruise.

What hotel are you staying at? We have chosen the Ft Lauderdale Hampton Airport for both are pre and post cruise. Got decent reviews and one CC member gave it high marks too! Are you on the roll call? I put our names in but my DH doesn't do much of those kind of things. :( Anyway, maybe we will see you onboard! Enjoy!

Yes we are on Roll Call and also Facebook. We are staying at Cambria Suites in Dania Beach (other side of airport) we can leave car there and they provide shuttle to and from port.

See you at Sail Away or CC gathering.

We just got off the Equinox yesterday. We arrived at the pier shortly before 11 and had a very short wait in the entrance to get through security and get our seapass cards, but we ended up having to wait for about an hour after that in the terminal waiting area due to some issues with the disembarkation of the previous cruise. The X waiting area is very comfortable, though, and they had punch and water there for us. We were still on board by 12:30, though. We were in concierge class and they boarded suites first, then Aqua class, then us. If you were in a regular balcony/inside room the wait might have been longer.
