CAS Slot Tournament invitational

We just received an email earlier this evening that says to watch our mailbox for a special invitation to Millionaire Maker slot tournament. Did anyone else get this in the past? Does this mean there will be a special voyage for this slot tournament? We're excited to see the offer... now we just wait for the postman

I received the email as well. I have had some invites for similar NCL casino cruises in the past but have never taken them up on the offer. From what I understand, they take place on a regular sailing but with too many casino junkies for my liking (hate an overcrowded casino!). Will watch for details though to see what this one is all about, I need a break sooner than May! I am out of town for the next week and won't be getting anything other than email, so if you get yours in snail mail please post details!

OP.. Got the same email, as I am sure most anyone who has spent any time at all in the casino. It will be a first come first serve and usually they will offer a free balcony stateroom for two for a specific cruise. It is usually a very good deal. If you have fairly good play in the casino, you can call CAS (Casino's at Sea) and see if they will upgrade you to a higher end stateroom from whatever they offer you. Especially if two of you who play in the casino will be in the same cabin and both have experience with CAS.

Same e-mail here. I clicked on the bottom (terms and conditions) and it led me to the NCL site. Although it said slot tournament, the description sounded like Texas hold em with 2 buy ins.

It did say one winner per cruise would qualify for the millionaire maker cruise on the Spirit. No dates given.

Guess we just wait for the details to show up in the mail. (Hoping there are some choices leaving from NY)

I read mine and it sounded like a slot tournament, with two additional buy ins.

The Millionaire Maker tournament is something that Harrah's sponsers every year..I notice you are all from the east coast perhaps it will be a slot tournament at Harrah's...there is a qualifying round or two in all the Harrah's properties, then everyone left goes to Vegas for the actual tournament..

Interesting idea but I don't think this one is land based. The e-mail said "Cruise to a million slot tournament".

Nothing in my mailbox yet so I'll just have to continue to wait and see.

Uh oh. Got my invitation today. Now I'm wondering whether to cancel my GEM - Bermuda cruise and do a Sun Eastern instead... and win $1 million.

Sorry to everyone else who was thinking of winnning....

Many of us are waiting by our mailboxes since receiving the e-mail about the upcoming tourny. So far, I'm still waiting for mine. - nothing in today's mail.

Could you please provide the specifics you received and put the rest of us out of our misery?

Thanks so much!

Obviously I'm new to the forums as a poster, but I have been following all your posts for the past 3 years...thank you so much...I may only have 3 cruises under my belt since October 2007, but you've all helped me in some way to enjoy them to the fullest.

Now it is my turn to give back...

Tournament #1:

March 26, 2011

7-day Eastern Caribbean from Miami on NCL Epic

Tournament #2

April 2, 2011

7-day Western Caribbean from Miami on NCL Epic

Tournament #3

July 30, 2011

7-day Bahamas and Florida from New York on NCL Jewel

Tournament #4

October 22, 2011

7-day Eastern Caribbean from Orlando (Port Canaveral) on NCL Sun

Accommodations are free. Slot tournament fee is noted as being $200 per invited guest with 2 additional buy-ins available @$100 each. Plus $100 in Free Slot Play. Minimum of 50 participants per cruise.

Hope this helps someone. :)

~D

P.S. must book through the 1-877 number or your casino representative; haven't been able to find any details via ncl.com (despite brochure saying to go there for further information)

Not trying to be disrespectful but.....How does someone win at a slots tournament? Is there a skill involved I dont know about? I've always played table games because I always felt the slots and any machines are rigged. Is there something I should know so that I can win at slots? I always thought of slots like scratchers, luck.
