tlm Posted February 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2011 We are looking to book the Owner's Suite on the Star for next year. According nto the NCL website there is quite a size difference between the suites on Deck 9 and the suites on Deck 10. Suites 10006 and 10506 show as 700 sq ft; 9006 and 9506 show as 571 sq ft. Does anyone know why the difference? Is the balcony smaller on Deck 9 ? Thanks for your help. Toni

retired rascal Posted February 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 26, 2011 We were in the Deck 10 port Owners Suite for the Panama Canal in Nov/Dec. It is considerably larger than the one below on Deck 9. The front balcony isn't that different. It is further forward because the bow of the ship is sloped. The actual cabin is larger. The Deck 10 OS is huge with a alcove dining area and another table and four chairs on the side deck. There are 4 separate 'breakfront' type areas....2 in the dining alcove and 2 on opposite ends of the living room....the master bath is huge and luxurious as is the dressing room with LOTS of storage, 2 safes, and 2 hanging clothes closets. The perks are wonderful....it is for TWO PEOPLE ONLY...one HUGE bed, but it can not be made into 2. The decoration in the "picasso suite" is a cross between a bordello and las vegas....very very gaudy, but we could overlook the color scheme and the pom poms for the luxury of the accommodations.
