Contest on board?

What is the trick to getting picked to be in all of the contest on board. Like the Hairy Chest, newlywed, etc... I have always liked the onboard activities, but never have gotten a chance to take part. Just stand at the front and yell, and hope for the best???

stand or be sitting close by...When they ask for participants, stand and make a complete fool of yourself. That seems to be the way they pick them...:)

Unfortunately standing up and making a fool of yourself seems to be the way to get picked.

 

However on laast cruise they picked the longest married couple and the newest newlywed.

In 2008 we took all our kids and grandkids on a cruise. I was 59 - last year to be 50-something. I decided that I wanted to judge the Hairy Chest Contest - really just wanted payback to embarrass the kids and grandkids. About 15 minutes before the game was to start, I found the assistant CD and told her I would like to be a judge and that's all it took. Well the kids and grandkids all loved it......I was the one who was embarrassed.:o:o:o Never again. Never again.

I did enjoy participating in the Newlywed-Not-so-Newlywed game and som on stage game shows though. I think every CD is different in how they decide who to pick for those things.
