Anyone VERY recently back from the Sky? Casino question.

Would love to know whether or not they are still "trying" the 3% surcharge on getting cash in the casino on the Sky? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Sorry to say this, but yes they are.

The "test" is still ongoing...PLEASE do not hesitate to provide them with feedback on how you feel about this charge.

I was on the Sky in August of 2010. I don't recall any charges involving cash in the casino. How does this work?

Never, ever a charge to use the cash your bring onboard.

But, at one time, and maybe still, on the Sky only: If you wanted more cash, and wanted to put it on your onbaord account, which would be the same as using your credit card for a normal purchase, they would charge you 3%. This is NOT a cash advance. The cruiseline is just trying to recover the charge they get dinged from the credit card companies. If you want to read comments about this, there was a 100 page thread about this recently.
