weloverunning Posted February 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2011 Would love to know whether or not they are still "trying" the 3% surcharge on getting cash in the casino on the Sky? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Thanks for any help you can offer. I was on the Sky in August of 2010. I don't recall any charges involving cash in the casino. How does this work?

How does this work? Never, ever a charge to use the cash your bring onboard. But, at one time, and maybe still, on the Sky only: If you wanted more cash, and wanted to put it on your onbaord account, which would be the same as using your credit card for a normal purchase, they would charge you 3%. This is NOT a cash advance. The cruiseline is just trying to recover the charge they get dinged from the credit card companies. If you want to read comments about this, there was a 100 page thread about this recently.
