Sargent_Schultz Posted March 2, 2011 #27 Share Posted March 2, 2011 And how would one go about ordering this "special Bloody mary?" Would I just ask for the Sarge Special? ;) First you go to Deanie's in New Orleans and look on the first page of their drink specials menu. I forget what they called it, but it was good! sparkscruiser Posted March 2, 2011 #39 Share Posted March 2, 2011 A "real" margarita made with patron silver, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar. Of course this is while I am taking forever to get ready, and the fiance enjoys one or three bacardi and cokes in the meantime :D Best Margarita EVER! Sargent_Schultz Posted March 2, 2011 #40 Share Posted March 2, 2011 But I'm guessing the second one isn't in SoCal.;) I'm getting a no on that. But basically it is a bloody mary on steroids with a boiled shrimp and some other tasty garnish. i think it was celery salt on the rim.
cruiseenthused Posted March 2, 2011 #41 Share Posted March 2, 2011 disoronna and sprite (amaretto and lime), just enough taste to get the pallate going for dinner
familycruzinnewbie Posted March 2, 2011 #42 Share Posted March 2, 2011 Sgt Schultz - are you sure it's not just a Caesar Canadians have trouble ordering in the US: Vodka, Clamato juice, Worcestershire, Tobasco, served on the rocks with celery-salt rim on the glass. Usually with piece of celery and lime, but yours has shrimp.

jaded99 Posted March 3, 2011 #45 Share Posted March 3, 2011 Do you bring on the nectur?? Yep - you can buy it in natural food stores, homebrewing stores, and sometimes even in regular chain grocery stores (I know Market Basket has it). Ever since I saw Alton Brown's special on mixed drinks and his "real" margarita recipe I have been addicted to having them fresh and pure liek that with only the 3 ingredients :)

ChelleBee Posted March 3, 2011 #47 Share Posted March 3, 2011 if i'm ready and we're in one of the lounges waiting for our dinner seating, i'll order a whiskey sour or a spiced rum and coke and dh will have a grey goose on the rocks. if i'm still perfecting my gorgeous-ness, ;) dh will order a bucket of beer and keep it in the fridge and i usually will drink the wine we bring on board with us.
