Insignia Leaving The Fleet?

Do you think they will do the Antarctica again? We did the So. American cruise on Insignia when the first made that voyage, and we loved it, but we didn't get to do the one which included Antartica. Sure want to do that.

What happens in South America in 2012? Insignia was scheduled to do those cruises.

They seem to be still doing S.A. then the TA in March

I suspect they will leave the fleet after they arrive in Europe

We may be wrong, but reading the recent threads on this board, we sense that Oceania might actually be more profitable if it had stayed with its previous most successful model instead of venturing into this new "expansionism" (albeit planned years ago). Recent events and assured economic downturn (uncertain future, high oil prices, upheavals and natural disasters resulting in radiation leaks) are just making things that much more difficult in the foreseeable future.

When we look at all those travel advertisements (not just Oceania), they all appear so nice and tempting. But think, where comes the money to pay for them? When is your next whatever payment? What if you need care givers as you age down the road? This spend, spend, spend out of the recession just sounds fishy. Be it on a national or individual scale, how does one spend oneself out of debt, or does one postpone the pains today to get into even greater pains tomorrow?

We are booked to go from Valpariso to Rio de Janeiro in February 2012. It looks like this will be the third last cruise for Insignia. I'm sure the service will be as good as any other ship remaining with Oceania.

I do not see why the service would change .

The crew are very good and do a great job
