Spending the night in Cabo during back to back ports????

Recommended Posts

So as many know the Star is doing 2 days back to back in Cabo. So the burning question is.... Could we choose to spend the night in port instead of getting back on the ship? Has anyone whose been on the Star recently done this? Any problems with getting back on the ship the next day? Just wondering. Thanks for any thoughts

Not sure about your wording "back to back", but assume you mean the ship is stopping at Cabo, and not leaving that night, staying through.

Since their is no "curfew", not sure why this would be a problem. After all, some people may party all night long ashore.

Because cabo is a tender part, you will have to be back on board by the time that is posted. You can't spend the night in port. The reason why they do this is for safety and to open up the casino and shops. At least thats what i gather on information based on this topic .

What if the seas/weather gets badand the ship has to leave port early or skip the next day? then your stuck in cabo with no way to reach the ship!!

So, if the ship heads back out to sea, then...

What if you "miss the ship"? Usually you have to catch back up with the ship in the next port of call, which in this case is Cabo, Mexico.

Interesting scenario.

Don't see why it would be a problem.

I would not spend the night in Cabo because if a storm or hurricane shows up the ships will leave the area and not return.

I have been to Cabo many times on ships. Sometimes when a storm shows up the ships will decide to pass up Cabo. I had that experience.

In Alcapulco, a few years ago we were supposed to spend the night in port but the tide got too low so they ship left the port. I was on the NCL Star.

Read the fine print and you will notice they don't care if you are left behind in Cabo or any port even if it is their fault.

My advise is to take your passport and your valuables with you since the next port will be in U.S.A. if you decide to spend the night in Cabo.
