CCL Stockholder Dividend Increase

A pleasant surprise. A couple of days ago, Carnival announced an increase in their dividend from .10/sh to .25/sh.

They are racking in those $50 pp fees for ES changes lol.

 

Maybe this will shore up the price....its been slipping.

That is good news. The stock price has plummeted from around 46 down to 40. Of course 'you know who' bought more at 46.

The stock price drop mirrors the recent oil price spike. If oil continues up over the next few weeks I expect the stock to continue to fall.

I was lucky. I bought it at 17.07 per share.

 

Actually, I bought 100 shares at 37.00 in May of 2008. When it dropped to 17 in March of 2009, I bought 100 more shares. Then 31 days later I sold the first 100 and took the loss which lessened my cap. gains on another stock I sold which had a profit. My commission was only 7.95 so it was worth it.
