My Carnival "3 Wishes" List

#1 Ship pins to come back . I'm short Fantasy & Freedom.

#2 Ship watercolor prints to come back. I'm short Freedom.

#3 Photos made onboard to be cheap enough to afford. It breaks my heart to be able to buy only one or two and have to put the others in the recycle bucket. If the prices were reasonable, I think most people would buy a lot of them. It would be a 'Win/Win' situation (for guests AND Carnival). :)

I agree with you on the price of the photos. Last cruise I didn't purchase a single picture from them because of the prices and if they'd been cheaper I'd probably purchased all they had. (Like I have done on previous cruises and then about died when I did a total of all my photo purchases!!)

Totally agree. We are at the point now where the only photo we buy is the embarkation one. Helps us remember when/where we cruised.

I agree. We bought one photo on our last Carnival cruise. I bet I'd spend 2-3 times as much if the prices per print were more reasonable. The costs of the photos are all fixed (i.e., cameras, photographers, printers). The only variable costs must be less than 50 cents per print for the cost of the paper, ink and labor to do the processing (which is mostly automated). So anything they bring in is pure revenue. So I can't figure out why they are better off taking less revenue per passenger than more. It is hard to believe that there are enough passengers buying enough of the high-priced prints to offset the revenues they would be making if they sold them for more reasonable prices and brought in 2-3 times the money.

i would love to buy all the photos we take (bad or good) cause they are memories..but carnival is being a bit greedy when it comes to them.. the markup is huge.. this coming from a photographers best friend (she just told me the markup is huge!! haha) i agree i think it would be a win/win if they reduced them!! not proud but my mom on her last cruise took pictures of her pictures with her digital.. you cant even tell!

1) A better past guest program

2) A Carnival Miracle Ship on a Stick (I won many contests and received many medals, but there were no SoaS-they didn't have any on our repo NYC to FLL cruise. :()

3) Shower curtains that don't stick to my tush.

+1) Another Spirit Class ship

+2) Caribbean cruises from Boston

Just off our very first cruise and would have to agree with the photo prices. We bought a few, but would have bought more if they had been more reasonable. They take a lot so it was hard to choose! It is so hard to get a good picture of either of my sons, that we bought those that came out reasonable well, and a formal one of my husband and I.

But, I will say that they are, for the most part, more reasonable than the photos at Disney World, and of better quality! I bought some from our last trip as we went to Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party, and I think for the 3 I bought it was over $40.00, and those were only 5x7. I also had a 25% off coupon. The equipment Carnival uses is also of better quality than what WDW uses, too.

- Better past passenger program (give priority embarkation and disembarkation after 5 cruises as well as a past passenger get-together)

- Offer bottled water (pint size) and sodas (six-pack or 12-pack) at a reasonable price in the gift shop or online prior to cruise to keep in your cabin so people don't need to bring on board (wish all cruiselines would offer this)

- 9 and 10 day Caribbean itineraries with different ports offered (but do keep the 8-day cruises offered)

1. Keep a ship in Mobile AL.

2. Better past guest program

3. Change photo sales to an on-line ordering system, where you can view and order on-board instead of searching through thousands of printed copies that mostly end up in the trash (what a waste of paper and ink). WDW issues a photo-pass card that you can take home and go on-line within 30 days to order your pics.

1. More jeans and shorts in the dining room

2. More kids blocking the steps

3. More robes worn on Lido

That's cute. Don't forget the flip-flops! :)

I'd like to see the Neptune Platter again in the MDR, allow Platinum guests to choose their gift from a list, and lower the beer prices a buck or 2!

Agree there seems to be a lot of waste in recycled photos. Would be nice if they were on a kiosk and they could be ordered as package rate or even a disc with copy right release even if it were priced at a per photo rate.

The Dream has kiosks with face recognition now and your pics show up on the swipe of your SS card. I'd second the watercolor ship print, I have them for 9 ships and would like them for every ship I've been on. We have a few laminated for the kitchen table and 6 hung on the wall in 11"x14" frames. They have great memories and spark a lot of conversation too, I'd buy them in the shops if they would be available.

1. Bring back good cuts of steak in the MDR

2. Larger casino space

3. More adult only spaces

Agree with one and two, and sort of with three. On conquest class ships with serenity areas, I am content with those. Havent been on other class of ships lately, so dont know about them.

For me I would add 4. Bring back solo rates in certain staterooms at 150pc.:)
