Naples Airport

We will be flying home from Naples. Staying at hotel located by the port area the night before.

I've been to Naples before & remember the traffic jams.

Just wondering what our options are to reach the airport for our flight.

Public bus?

Taxi?

About how much time should we allow for reaching the airport?

If your hotel is near an Alibus stop, that would be an easy and economical way to get to the airport (3 Euro one way). There are a couple of public buses, but they're not likely to stop near where you are staying. Alibus schedule and stops: http://www.anm.it/upload/Linee/Alibus.PDF

 

A taxi is always a good fallback option and your hotel can arrange for one. You can choose the set fare to the airport or go on the meter, but you must choose before the trip begins. If your hotel is near Piazza Municipio, the set fare is 19 Euro; if you are waterfront it is 23 Euro. Regarding time to get to the airport, I've sat in traffic getting out to that airport very early in the morning. Even though the airport is less than five miles from downtown, it can take quite a while to get there. As crazy as it sounds, I'd allow 45 minutes for a five mile ride, and be pleasantly surprised if it only takes 15.

I will second the thought that morning, weekday traffic in Naples can be horrible.
