Galveston Cruise Terminal Info

Needing some info on the cruise terminal in Galveston, as this is the first time out of this port. There are people in our group coming in from different areas than us and at different times (some driving, some flying), where would you suggest, at the terminal, would be a good meeting place? Looking for a secured covered parking area, any suggestions?

We always use the port parking because they pick you up quickly after the cruise and get you to the car fast. It is just 5-10 more than the other parking folks. It is secure, but I don't know about the covered availability since we have never used it.

As far a meeting, after you drop off your luggage and get back from the parking lot, you can walk a short distance to the Pier at the end of the Terminal with all the restaurants (Fisherman's Warf, I think its called) and shops and have a drink until everyone gets there and then go get in line together.

Or just use your cell phones to keep in touch and meet in the front of the Terminal.

Needing some info on the cruise terminal in Galveston, as this is the first time out of this port...

Please note there are two cruise terminals. Terminal #1 is for Carnival and Terminal #2 is for Royal Caribbean.

Please make sure you go to the correct terminal.

We are parking at Galveston Park n Cruise in November. Never used it before, but it's right across the street from he cruiseport and you just drop off your passengers and luggage and walk back across. It has covered parking also and is cheaper than the Port parking. I have used the Port and EZ Cruise...happy with both of them!

I think that the pub will work better than the port. It's kind of like the State Fair of Texas when people say, "Just meet at Big Tex," or when A&M did bonfire, some would say, "Let's meet at bonfire." The odds are so slight that it can be done seamlessly.
