Sure, we have done it several times (and more). Using public transit is difficult because of the time constraints and frequency of bus service but that is even possible. However your best bet is to simply rent a car (it will cost you $100 - $130 for the day) or hire a private car/driver which will cost you about 400 Euros. There is a small local rental car company that use to deliver cars right to the tender pier. If you want to rent you might send them an e-mail and see if they still deliver and their cost...

If you do rent a car we suggest trying to rent a GPS...which is a little easier then map reading.
