We will be traveling to Barcelona in Oct of 2011 for a cruise and staying 3 days, does anyone know if there are BBVA Banks near the Hotel Barcelona Universal on Ave Avinguda Parel.lei . Thank you.

into Google it will show you many locations.

There is one on Avinguda Parallel at #148 .

It appears to be 1 stop away on the metro from the hotel going away from Las Ramblas.

Indeed, here we are in the afternoon.

 

Your hotel and the office of BBVA is five minutes on the same side of the street. You will have no trouble locating.

Thank you, I thought I spotted the Bank during a search on Google Earth, we are looking forward to our first trip to Barcelona. Our plans also for 27 Oct 2011 with those of us arriving on the 26th, is to do the Old City Walking Tour. For that I believe we will have to grab a cab to get over to where they meet at Plaza Real, next to the water fountain. Right now we have roughly 90 from our Liberty of the Seas Oct 29, 2011 TA staying at the Hotel Barcelona universal. A few are at the Hilton, Renaissance, Continental. I really appreciate your information.

It is not necessary to take a taxi to the Plaza Real, it is very easy to go by subway from the Paral-lel station to station Drassanes is a very short distance.

Thank you again I will pass this along to those signed up to go, We have two groups, one for the 27th & 28th. We can scout that out on the 26th, our flight gets in around 8:35 AM so will have part of the day to explor a little.

For those planning on doing the Walking tour and staying at the Universal, have received some valuable information from a person who lives there. He said we should take the Subway from the Paral.lei Station and get off at the Drassanes Station then a short walk to the fountain.

It is also possible to walk from your hotel to the Plaza Real, is a walk of 10 or 15 minutes.

Afternoon Ed, I will let our group going for the 27th know and perhaps we might consider it. Some might not want to walk there plus another 2 1/2 hours.:). We are capable of doing that ourselves.
