Solstice Breakfast Room Service

Sorry if this is a well asked question but when I searched, could only find a menu from 2008.

Can you still get a hot cooked breakfast delivered to your stateroom, or, just continental style, cereal, breads etc. Not tried Celebrity yet but considering a Med cruise this summer and can't stand the busy buffet areas on the ships we have tried so far.

Yes a hot breakfast (eggs, bacon) in any cabin except on debarcation day. If you don't see what you want on the hang tag menu (like french toast) write it in and you will usually get it.

I am cuting and pasting what I wrote on another thread:

Three ways to order room service breakfast: hang tag found in the information booklet - write anything you want on it, make sure to include things like butter and coffee sweetner if needed, but you need to pick the time for delivery the night before - or - call room service in the morning - or - use the interactive TV in the morning (not sure if you can use the TV the night before to place your order). With the interactive TV there is no option to add something not on the menu, so be sure to check it out in advance to make sure that what you want is on it. Expect a call a couple of minutes in advance announcing the food delivery - so you won't be surprised by a knock on the door if you oversleep. Have a great cruise!

A lot depends on the kind of cabin you book. Suites and Concierge Class have a bigger menu. But, you don't need to eat in the buffet. The main dining room is open for breakfast, which is less hectic than the buffet.

DH found the eggs and sausages warm enough.

But he tried pancakes twice and both times they were room temp at best. We tend to choose a continental type breakfast for our balcony. We like food to be hot.

Well, the menu is bigger, but the same choices are available, so a lot does NOT depend on the cabin you book, right?

Concierge class has some yogurt smoothie type things and some special omelets and fresh squeezed juice. There is plenty to choose from on the regular breakfast menu. The thing I found odd is that you have to specify each thing on the menu. If you want sugar or cream with your coffe, jam with your bread, etc. you have to say how many.

Great tips and details. I don't drink coffee. Can I order a couple of juices with breakfast or is breakfast juice always an extra charge item? Is the orange juice fresh-squeezed or just the frozen stuff? Do they normally have breakfast items such as hash browns, corned beef hash and/or eggs benedict on the menu or available from room service?

THANKS for the help! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

There are several different juices on the menu as well as tea and hot chocolate. We always order at least two juices each. Fresh squeezed juice is an extra charge in regular cabins.

If you don't see what you want on the brekfast hang tag, write it on. You may be pleasantly surprised. They have a nice variety of items.

THANKS, Dianne, for the good info! Asking is always good. It's a 12-day cruise in the Med so we've got time to figure it out and keep trying until we get it right. Enjoy! Terry in Ohio
