Radisson hotel in San Juan

Can anyone tell me if Old San Juan and the Forts could be within walking distance of the Radisson or is a cab/bus necessary? Thanks a bunch

You will need to take a taxi of bus. We stayed at LaConcha which is about 3 or 4 blocks from from Radisson and it cost I think 12 or 14 dollars to El Morro. At the hotel they said start at El Morro because it is the highest point that way you are walking downhill. Not sure which bus, taxi is the fastest. Make sure you get the price before you get into the cab.

Can you upgrade to ambassador status even if you got room thru priceline?

I think so if it is available. I called the Rad after I got my room thru priceline and was told yes, if available.

how much $$ to take a taxi to port?

I just called and the upgrade price is $30. I dont know if it is worth that for hors devours (sp?) that we might not even be in the hotel at that time for, and a continental breakfast... any thoughts?

We just returned from our cruise on Monday. We stayed at the Radisson the night before our cruise and the Marriott after the cruise. You get what you pay for. We arrived at the Radisson around 12:30pm, our rooms were not ready till 4:00pm. They gave us vouchers for drinks and a $10.00 casino play. What they dont tell you are the restrictions for both. Rooms are OK, lounge has a band that you can hear all night long.Front desk people are not very friendly. The Marriott was 100% better. Good Luck

is it a match play coupon for the casino? And what was the restriction for the drink? Did you have breakfast there?

You only could use the $10.00 at the tables not on the slots. I dont think it was a match play. You could only order beers and very little mixed drinks. Did not eat breakfast there
