Queen Mary 2 Suez canal transit

It is approximately 6.30AM on Sunday morning 10 April in Egypt - and Queen Mary 2 is transiting the Suez canal

I have just quickly put together a slideshow of pictures taken while we were transiting Suez Canal on Oriana - it is a chronological sequence of them as they were taken. I thought I would do this and post it here now - as the webcam from QM2 is quite small and you can't really get a good idea of what the transit is like

I can't remember the Panama Canal at all from all those years ago and when we traversed the Suez Canal, we got off at Suez to do a tour to the Pyramids and Cairo Museum and got back on the ship again at Port Said so didn't see it.
