txd Posted April 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2011 We (two couples)will be disembarking a cruise at the Venice cruiseport and will need to get to Marco Polo airport. Our flight leaves Venice at 10 am. Does anyone know if there are usually lots of taxis at the port available, so we can just grab one? Do you know what the cost might be? Any recommendation on taxi reservation is welcome. Thanks, TD
euro cruiser Posted April 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2011 Since you won't be able to afford the time to wait, you'd be better off booking a taxi. The taxi company listed on the port's web site is Radiotaxi - Tel. +39 041 5952080 You can see the web site here: http://www.vtp.it/terminal/crociere.jsp?idm=6Z49EH1157271R175I5950NRRUYWVRS3&prg=3&page_2=
mapleleaves Posted April 10, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2011 I agree with eurocruiser. Carry your own bags off the ship, have a reserved taxi waiting for you and get to the airport asap. We had 2 flights out of Venice last June and both times the departures area was a zoo.

txd Posted April 11, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted April 11, 2011 Thanks for the info. It looks to me that you can not make on-line reservation. I will call radiotaxi direct. TD
euro cruiser Posted April 11, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2011 You don't need to call far in advance, the day before will be sufficient.
