Formal nights Western itinerary

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know for sure which nights are formal? I know the first one is the second night, but have heard different responses for the 2nd one? Any help appreciated!

I think it's the 6th Day, we'll be in Cozumel.

I e-mailed RC and this is the response I got. The formal nights will be Monday (Day 2) and Friday (Day 6) <------- and I just looked at my notes and noticed Friday is the 13th! aaaghhhhh LOL

Dear Ms. Donna:

Thank you for your email.

Please be advised that there will be two formal evenings on the Allure of the

Seas, sailing on May 8, 2011. Typically, they will be the second and next -to-

last evening. Please refer to your Cruise Compass once you board the ship. Have

a wonderful cruise.

Ms. Donna, thank you for choosing Royal Caribbean International.

Hi Donna,

Thanks for the info. For some reason from my notes, I had written down that the formal nights were the 2nd and 5th nights.

Could you give me the e-mail address so that I can e-mail RC about my sailing? (I already made a reservation for Samba Grill which I may need to change as it may be a formal night).

Thanks,

Rachel

Hi - I'm also sailing on May 8th and was informed that the 2nd formal night would not be the night we leave Cozumel and would be the Thursday, the 2nd day at sea.

I can't see how they, RCI, could make the formal night for Cozumel as we don't leave the port until 7pm. It makes no sense whatsoever. IMHO

Any Recent Allure Western Caribbean cruisers back could tell us, since the scheduling change has happened after they added Falmouth (and took away Costa Maya)

So....is there a right answer? It seems like they do something different every time! I booked Chops Grille for our 5th day (sea day) and was planning on having the formal night on the 6th day (Cozumel) because that's what I was told as well! Anybody on this itinerary recently that can clarify? Thanks!

I emailed Royal and they said that the formals for this sailing (Western) would be day 2 and day 5....not day 6 when we will be in Cozumel! Now I need to change my specialty dining!

I wonder if all Western sailings are the same. I am sailing in July.

What address did you send your e-mail to?
