San Juan - confused on which port

We are leaving from San Juan for a 7 day cruise, I have heard their are 2 ports, 1 if you are in port for the day and another if your cruise actually leaves from SJ. Does anyone know the actual name of the port I will be leaving from? Thanks :confused:

What did Carnival tell you when you called?

i know we docked at the OSJ pier when we visited on Carnival Freedom this past Nov. I believe this is the primary pier Carnival uses. They had all the embarkation things set up in the terminal area as well.....Guessing that is for the Victory.

The other pier is the Pan American pier where RCL leaves from. Now when we were on the Explorer of the Seas we docked at the pier in old San Juan just for the day.

You will be getting on at the port in Old San Juan. Look for a thread here that is called "All things Victory" and you'll get tons of information on the Victory. Happy Sailing.

I leave on the 24th, My research shows pier 4, in Old San Juan, across the street from the Sheraton.

Old San Juan pier, although the cab drivers will know if you just tlel them what boat you're on.

 

That pier is awesome. You literally walk right outside the port and you're in the heart of OSJ

You are on the same one were on 5/1 and our itinerary shows leaving from Pier 4. You should be able to see it on all your paperwork you printed.

Old San Juan pier is great, you can walk to everything. Pan Am pier has absolutely nothing around it!

we've alway docked, or sailed right from the downtown pier. but i have seen that other pier used across the bay when a lot of ships were in. international pier? never seen a carnival ship there though.
