Has anyone seen Richard Spacey as CD?

Has anyone seen Richard Spacey as a cruise director recently. We

had him in July 2003 and he was excellent.

We had him in August 2004 and found him borderline tolerable.

He's on AOS right now. Had him 3 weeks ago and he's great!

We've had him twice. The first time we thought he was fun and enjoyed his "Oh Behave" and his little peek under the curtain as it drops...the second cruise we found his same jokes a little annoying. We have had the same Cruise Director twice on Carnival too and found the same problem. It would be difficult for them to have different jokes each week, but they should at least change them from year to year.

 

I would say for a first time he is ok…for a second, no thanks.

We had Richard Spacey 2/27-3/6 on the AOS and loved him too. I had an annoying cd on Carnival last year and I was relieved that Richard was funny. I can understand that he uses the same jokes week to week, he does so much he probably doesn't have time to make up new ones!

IMHO, Richard Spacey is among the best cruise directors that RCCL has. He and Becky Thomson tie for number one in my eyes.
