You can get cash advanced from your sail and sign card on the slot machines that is attached to your credit card and will not be charged. Or just bring cash like me:D
NU2Cruise55 Posted April 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2011 I talked to the people at CCL and they told me that you can just use you Sail and sign card on the casino floor and in the slots
mikel24m Posted April 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 13, 2011 You are charged 3 % at the casino to use your sign and sail card
cincycruisincouple Posted April 13, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2011 Be careful about using your sign & sail card on table games. They charge a 3% fee. So if you wanted $100, then a charge of $103 would show on your balance
christr Posted April 13, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 13, 2011 Interesting on the fee people mention. I've never been charged a fee. Tho, I also only ever charged my S&S on a slot machine. The display on the slot always said 'no fee' on it. Granted, with one exception I've always been on a 7+ day cruise, so maybe cruise length has something to do with it. Or perhaps as someone mentioned it may just be table games that charge the fee. Also, on the Valor last week I noticed there was a $1500 limit on what you could get off your S&S at the casino. --CHris
nancydee Posted April 13, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2011 If you put your S&S card into a slot machine, download the cash to it, then withdrawl that $ it is charged as entertainment and not cash advance.

Kelane Posted April 13, 2011 #9 Share Posted April 13, 2011 You are charged 3 % at the casino to use your sign and sail card We upload money into the slot machines in the casino every trip and have yet to be charged a fee of any kind. It's a nice way to track gambling on the ship also...or not. Last cruise a traveling friend needed some cash. Showed her how to upload from S & S to the slot machine then upload it back to her S & S card. The "upload" does NOT credit back to the S & S card but she went to the window and got the cash from them. Easy no fee way to get cash without ATM fees. At least that has been our experience. On longer cruises we've also bought OBC ahead of time and had them apply it to our account. Saves a little of the "final bill" sticker shock! Upload your credits (money already in your machine) 2. Download your credits (money that you uploaded from your machine) 3. Cash advance.......from your credit card attached to your S&S account. It takes a few seconds for your credits to be uploaded. To get cash go to the cashier. On occasion I have heard the dealers/pit bosses tell pax to get cash from a slot machine. It takes time and 'shuts down' a table for a few minutes if someone wants cash. If the player gets $ thru the slots the table can continue and the Casino makes more money. You can save your spot at the table by leaving some chips. Never lost money doing so. We've never been charged an advance fee getting cash from the slots. You might as well give your money to charity at your first stop. You'll get more out of it.
