stroza Posted April 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Hi, I saw a thread about free emails while on your cruise? Are there special times for this? And how do you do it? Sorry to repete but I can't seam to find the post! Thanks!
Loonbeam Posted April 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Unless there has been a schedule disruption like in Japan, I have never seen a free email time or offer. Web service is offered by the minute, not the type of service.
Toto2Kansas Posted April 14, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2011 As said, unless there is a problem with the ship, there is no 'free' internet or email onboard. The free email was to reschedule transportation and flights for a cruise that had it's itineary totally changed only! This is not a common occurance. cherylandtk Posted April 14, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 14, 2011 I think OP might be thinking about the recent thread on the free access to the Princess website and the free ecards that you can send. I used one to tell my friend picking us up what time we would be getting off the ship after we received our debarkation time. Ecards don't have a lot of room for long messages, but are useful for short and quick notes.

RickEk Posted April 14, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Yes, this is what I ment. How can I do this? Thanks I believe that when you access the home page whilst on board, there will be an option to send a eCard...
cherylandtk Posted April 14, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Yep, that's it. Sit down at a ship's computer, look for the menu bar on the right that shows the free pages (ecards, Princess home page) click on what you want and wait for the page to load. Pick your ecard, type your message, click send.
robgvic Posted April 14, 2011 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2011 I thought some of the people who had complained about the problems caused on the change of ports on their cruise would have posted some results of what happened. Any reports?
itzmered Posted April 14, 2011 #9 Share Posted April 14, 2011 The free ecards were great. I sent quite a few of them to family and friends letting them know how much fun they were missing :)

Wonderful way to let family back home know how you are doing. :) And "free" is always good.;)
DGSFlorida Posted April 15, 2011 #13 Share Posted April 15, 2011 Free one-way message that is. You cannot be sure it was ever received. Better than putting a message in a bottle I guess.
robgvic Posted April 15, 2011 #14 Share Posted April 15, 2011 But I never know if my e mails have been received unless I get a reply
raz455 Posted April 15, 2011 #15 Share Posted April 15, 2011 I was also able to access this from my laptop in my cabin. A nice way to unwind at the end of the day - send a few free ecards to friends and family on the mainland!
margeg Posted April 16, 2011 #16 Share Posted April 16, 2011 I know these e cards were received . People told me they got them when we arrived home. You can also use the computers that are in the area where you can book cruises or put future cruise deposits. These are free.
Tralynn Posted April 16, 2011 #17 Share Posted April 16, 2011 We sent the free email postcards from a couple of our cruises and they work great for a quick one-way message. Note: You may want to warn those you will send them to that they may get sent to their junk mail since it will be coming from "Princess" and not from you directly. Most of ours went through just fine, but a couple did get marked as spam.

Tikibird Posted April 17, 2011 #19 Share Posted April 17, 2011 Is there any way to share these free e-cards on Facebook?
