Palmetto Lady Posted April 16, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2011 On another cruise lines's brochure they state that in the suites that provide butler service, some pressing is complimentary *limited. Is there an extra charge for all pressing done for guests in Queen's Grill suites? If so, is there a self-service launderette near the Queen's Grill suites on the QM2? I ask because we always send out our laundry, but I wear out the carpet running back and forth with things to be touched up with an iron.
castlewood Posted April 16, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2011 On the QM2, there's no laundry/ironing room on Deck 9, where most of QG rooms are located. We always pack a collapsible travel iron to touch up our clothes.
Bigmike911 Posted April 16, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2011 The charge for pressing and indeed for laundry and dry cleaning is modest. I usually send mine out for second day service and have them come back that evening. Your Butler will handle rush jobs with a smile and does a very good job at polishing shoes as well. As to bringing an iron along, Cunard discourages it as a possible fire hazzard, and provides irons in the self service laundries which are located for Grills passengers on 10 and 8 deck. Cheers Mike. Palmetto Lady Posted April 16, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted April 16, 2011 Thanks all - Couldn't find the laundry room on the Deck plans. This gives me another opportunity to use the stairs.
