What you CAN do and what you are SUPPOSED to do are two different things.

Don't put any alcohol in your carry on luggage or you will get busted (I did), but the stuff in the checked luggage was no problem.

They confiscated the stuff in the checked luggage too. As I understand the "official" policy, you are not allowed to bring any hard liquor but you can bring wine they don't carry & pay a corkage fee.
