MARINER FANS! CHECK THIS OUT! (9am TODAY)

Recommended Posts

Actually sometimes the Mariner leaves as late as 6-6:30 pm on some Sundays. When I went on her last (a year ago), we waited on delayed "fly and sail" passengers from Orlando Int'l.

From my home, I hear the ships leave from Port Canaveral and they all have distinctive horn signals. It's almost 6 pm now, and I heard the Disney ship and Mariner leave, but I still haven't heard the Glory (Carnival). It may be their afternoon to wait on late arrivers.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL DAY here near the Port. Mid 80s, sunny, very light breeze, calm waters. I envy everyone on all ships sailing out of here today!

Actually that would be the Carnival Fantasy on their 4 night run...but who's counting, eh? It's not an RC ship! :) ;)

I am down at the port to watch the Mariner leave about twice a month. I have noticed she delays till at least 5:30 or later each day. From what I suspect, most of the time they are waiting for their patrol service to return back up the port from the 2nd escorted ship out, as they guard her slide out to sea. She is always the last to leave after the Fantasy and the Magic. The poor coast guard and sheriff's patrol keep extremely busy with 3 big ships going out within the hour, and are already running short handed.

12 weeks for me! Then I get to shake this landlubber thing! :)

Cheers

Family from NC

This is our fourth on RCI, third for some of us on Voyager class ships. You picked a GREAT SHIP for your first cruise, especially with the kids. There will be five of us, three of them kids/young adults. You'll find so much to do, as they say on the commercial - "GET OUT THERE!"

Oh....GO TAR HEELS!
